Oprah Winfrey Will Help Obama Surpass Hillary
As you might already know, Oprah has decided to make her first endorsement in a Presidential campaign and to endorse Barack Obama’s 2008 Presidential bid. As with every other Democrat candidate, they get celebrities to back their candidacy and to show up to benefits to help raise money. I do not think that these celebrities’ endorsements change people’s opinions and make them vote for a particular candidate, but are merely used as a fund raising tool. However, Oprah is not your ordinary celebrity and has a HUGE following.
Obama's campaign said more than 29,000 attended the event at the University of South Carolina's football stadium. It had the feel of a rock concert, with bands playing for early arrivals and campaign supporters yelling "fire it up" to the crowd.
It could be this single celebrity endorsement that propels Barack Obama right past Hillary.
